Reduce paper cup waste

You can continue to benefit from 15p off each hot drink, when you bring your own reusable cup to outlets across campus.

As part of our Ethical Catering commitment, we set objectives that fall in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and that of the University. This is another assurance we want to continue, with customers leading this initiative.

Please ensure your reusable cup is clean and can carry the full contents you are intending to purchase.

You can redeem the 15p discount across most campus outlets. Due to its unique process, Pearls Bubble Tea, will soon be selling their own branded cup as well as providing a 15p discount on drinks once a reusable cup is purchased.

Please note, the 15p discount is not available at self-service till points. You would need to visit a staffed till point for the discount to be applied.

From 11th Feb 2019 (launched during the University’s Go Green Week) – to Sep 2024, we have saved 1.6 tonnes of single use plastic cups and lids from ending up in UK landfill or from incineration through our own cup discount campaign. 1.6 tonnes is equivalent to the weight of a Hippopotamus.
